1. What is a trackday?
A trackday is a non-competitive event allowing riders of road and track bikes to come to a race circuit and explore their bike's performance in a safe, controlled and professional environment.
2. Which vehicles are allowed on track?
If your bike complies with normal road safety regulations then
it should be eligible to take part in a trackday. However, we do
recommend that you do some basic safety checks, as if you were
planning on going on a long journey such as checking your oil and
water levels as well as tyre pressures.
All vehicles must also comply with our noise
limits at each circuit - for more information on this
please CLICK
HERE.
3. Do I need any special equipment?
All riders require crash helmets and full leathers. Crash
helmets must comply with current ACU/FIM standards. Helmets must be
worn and securely fastened at all times.
Leathers must be either a one piece or two-piece suit with a zip
all the way around the middle (minimum hip to hip) with no skin
visible. Leather boots and gloves must be also be worn. We
recommend that all riders also wear additional back protection.
Metal knee and/or toe sliders are not allowed. For the avoidance of
doubt, textile equipment is not permitted on trackday events.
Club MSV have leathers available for hire - see www.clubmsv.co.uk/leathers
for more information.
4. Are there any licence restrictions?
5. Can I use one of your vehicles?
A trackday by definition is using your own bike on the race track. If you do not have your own bike then please contact us and we can point you in the right direction.
6. Will there be instruction available on the day?
Instruction is available at all of our events from our approved race instructors starting at just £25 for a 20 minute, one to one session. More infomation can be found on the Rider Training page of our website.
Further FAQs can be found on the FAQs page of the Club MSV website.
