Club MSV's Advanced Track Driving
Course will not only make you a faster and more confident driver,
but it will also save you money - driving with smoothness and
mechanical sympathy will drastically reduce the wear and tear on
your vehicle.
The course is tailored to each individual so if you have never
been on track before then we'll teach you the basics covering
everything you need to know to become a competent track driver. If
you're an experienced racing driver trying to find those extra few
seconds a lap for your next race, we'll show you where they
are.
Typical Day
Signing on
Signing of indemnity forms, checking of driving licences and
meeting your instructor. Free bacon roll, teas and coffees.

Introduction and Safety Briefing
The safety briefing covers everything that what you will
learn during the day as well as the regulations for driving on
circuit. Once complete, you will be introduced to your instructor
before heading out on track for your initial assessment.

Initial Assessment
After you have had a chance to familiarise yourself with the
track, your instructor will assess your driving and outline some
areas for you to work on throughout the day.

Car Preparation
Before your track time begins, your instructor will help you
carry out the pre-track checks that every driver should perform
before going out on circuit.

Class 1- Lines and Cornering
Class 1 is all about the racing line. you'll learn how to find a
braking point, turn in point and hitting the apex effectively as
well as exiting the corner correctly.

Class 2 - Braking and Gear Changing
Class 2 covers effective and smooth braking. Once you have found
your braking point, your instructor teach you how to brake later so
that you can carry more speed through the corner.

Class 3 - Car Balance and Throttle Control
Class 3 is the final classroom session in the morning and it
will teach you the basics of keeping a car balanced using throttle
control and advanced braking techniques.

Lunch Break
It's time to have a break and get those energy levels up before
aftternoon track time begins.

Afternoon track time begins
You will have intermittent sessions of free lapping and one to
one tuition from your instructor throughout the afternoon to help
you build on the skills you have learned in the morning
session.

One to one review
Your last session on circuit will be a review session with your
instructor where he'll make sure you know what areas that you need
to work on in the future.

End of the day
It's time to head home with a whole host of new driving
skills!
