A sessioned trackday offers a more structured intinery to your
event. Typically you will receive seven, 20 minute sessions of
track time throughout the day with breaks in between to allow your
car to cool down and make any necessary adjustments.
Events will follow one of the two following formats. Please see the
booking page of each event for further details.
Sessioned (by ability) Trackdays
Typically these events will be split into novice, intermediate
and advanced groups but on evening events the intermediate and
advanced group are often combined.
Novice Group
The novice session on our trackdays is designed
exclusively for anyone who has little or no trackday experience.
You will not be on circuit with experienced drivers. If this is
your first trackday you might also want to consider one of our
Novice
Only Trackdays. A typical driver in the novice
group will have attended up to a maximum of three trackdays
before.
Intermediate Group / Road Car Session
The intermediate session is open to road going vehicles only and is designed for
drivers who are familiar with this circuit and have taken part in
trackdays before.
Advanced Group
If you are looking for some track time with other
experienced trackday drivers then look no further. This session is
limited to skilled trackday drivers who are competent with higher
track speeds. A typical advanced group driver will have attended
more than five trackdays and be competent with higher track
speeds.
General Sessioned Trackday
A general sessioned Trackday is open to all drivers. If you have
never taken part in a trackday before then please be aware that
there can be some faster vehicles on these events with more
experienced track drivers. If this is your first track
experience then we advise you call us before making your
booking.
Events will typically follow this format when a session or
sessions are being exclusively organised for a car club or
magazine. To organise an exclusive event of your own - please visit
the clubs section / group booking section of the website.
Typical Day
Signing On
Signing of indemnity forms, checking of driving licences and
allocation of instruction sessions.

Noise Testing
Before taking part in any trackday, all vehicles are subject
to a noise test. Please see the noise testing regulations to
see how this is measured.
|

|
Safety Briefing
This will cover everything you need to know about the day from
rules of the event through to car preperation, driving techniques
and circuit information.
|

|
On Circuit Briefing
At some circuits you can take advantage of an extra on-track
briefing carried out in mini-buses driven by our instructors who
will go into detail about each corner of the circuit.
|

|
Familiarisation Laps
Also known as 'ducks and drakes', the familiarisation laps are
carried out behind a pace car and give you a chance to experience
each bend at a reduced speed and get a feel for the racing
line.
|

|
Track Time Begins
Warm your tyres, start off slow and build up your pace
throughout the day. On a Sessioned (by ability) trackday,
track time normally begins with the advanced group.
|

|
Extra Mini Brefings
On our Novice Only days we provide extra mini-briefings
thoughout the day on car preparation, track driving techniques and
the circuit (correct racing line and corners to look out for). All
of these sessions are included in the price of your day!
